Modern family is something I hold near and dear to my heart, being my favorite show and something that I have watched for closing in four years there is just so much to love about modern family. Now this article is the beginning of a 2 part series. The first part (this part) is a summary of modern family and why I love it. The second article is a review of my favorite episode, and I feel I could leave still a lot to be discussed, so I’m open to a 3rd article, or covering it as a short, but let’s begin.
Modern family consists of 12 main characters and 2 ones that I have to cover.
Jay Pritchett:
Jay is probably one of my favorite characters in the show his grumpiness as a grandpa is just so well done, he probably has one of the best backstory’s out of ANY character. As a kid he was raised with a very Gung Ho father. He often tells the story, “as a kid I was afraid of the lake by my house, then one night, my dad through me into it. Was never scared again.” In his 20’s he started his first company California closets, with his business partner Earl Chambers, but then Earl stole his Rolodex employees and company to form closets closets closets closets. Jay in retaliation started Pritchett closets and blinds. He then married DD his first wife. They had 2 kids, Micheal and Clair. When he divorced her he married Gloria, his new Columbian wife. Later in life Clair would take over Pritchett’s closets.
Clair Dumphy:
Clair is a lot like her father
