On day 4, I felt the urge to go snorkeling, so I headed to the boat house and asked the guy for snorkeling gear. Yeah, I know - pretty anticlimactic. Hi, I’m William, and this is the story of my snorkeling adventure.
I went to the beach and jumped in with my snorkeling mask. I mean, how else was I supposed to learn to snorkel, right? But the first thing that happened was my mask flooded. So, after convincing my father to join me for a swim, things got chaotic, to say the least. My mask just kept flooding, and the stupid kids’ mask didn’t work properly. Overall, it was a chaotic swim.
The next day, with an adult’s snorkel and my mother by my side, I went to the beach feeling much more confident. It turns out that confidence works wonders because I had the most brilliant swim, and I was just loving life in general. Then, we reached the coral reef, and it was kind of scary. I spotted purple sea urchins and other intimidating creatures. My mom said, “I swallowed quite a bit of sea water, and there weren’t many fish, but I really, really enjoyed it.” When asked about the coral reef, she added, “I didn’t really see the purple sea urchins, but I wouldn’t have gone much farther anyway.”
Thanks for reading. Now, go out there, touch the grass, and have some fun!
